Postman

A ready-to-import collection with every published endpoint, its examples and its tests. It is safe by default: nothing that creates, changes, deletes, sends, calls or charges runs by itself.

Download

The Spanish and English files describe exactly the same thing; only the descriptions change.

Getting started

  1. Download the collection and the environment with the buttons above.
  2. In Postman, click Import and drag both files.
  3. At the top right, select the “Hablame · Producción” environment.
  4. Open the environment and paste your API key into the apiKey variable. It is secret and ships empty; never paste it inside the collection.
  5. Open “Ping” in the “Utilities” folder and send it. If it answers 200, your key works.

Nothing runs by itself

Before going out, every request that creates, changes, deletes, sends, calls or charges checks that confirmoEfectos is si in the environment. If it is not, the request skips itself and the Postman console tells you why. This includes the Runner: you can run the whole collection and only the lookups will be sent.

When you want to run one of those requests, set confirmoEfectos to si, send it and put it back to no. Everything you send is real and can be charged.

These are the requests that skip themselves:

The “Flows: they change data and charge” folder chains creating, getting, reading the statistics of and deleting a short link. It needs confirmoFlujos set to si and, if a step fails, it stops.

What the tests check

Every request ships tests that only check the response: that the status is the expected one, that it arrives as JSON inside the API envelope and that it carries the request identifier (meta.requestId and the X-Request-Id header). They send no other requests and change nothing.

Use a current version of Postman

The automatic skip uses Postman’s pm.execution.skipRequest() function. If your version does not have it, update Postman before running anything.

Always up to date

The collection is generated from the same catalog as the Reference every time the site is published, so it cannot differ from the documentation.

If something does not work as you expect, write to us at developers@hablame.co with the name of the request and the request identifier (requestId).
